The Ford Raptor--then known by its SVT prefix--debuted in 2010, just as the Blue Oval was emerging from the economic downturn. Back then, it proved all of its critics wrong, becoming so popular that its production plant struggled to keep up with demand. Now, it enters its second generation with a new crop of skeptics to silence.

The new Raptor is one of the first models of the Blue Oval's new Performance division, which was launched alongside the pickup and the GT supercar in 2015. This autumn, the Raptor will arrive in showrooms--thus showing everyone that an aluminum bodied pickup with a V6 engine is still more than capable of turning boulders to dust with its might. But brawn isn't all this frighteningly fast off-roader has going for it, as you can see in the video above.

When the Raptor arrives in dealerships this autumn, we'd be more than happy to let you pour over all of its features. In the meantime, you can contact our Ford dealership in Dover, DE to get updates about when its available.
