Understanding Your Ford Escape Maintenance Schedule
Following your Ford Escape maintenance schedule isn't difficult at all. You just have to know how it's broken down. This maintenance schedule will feature mileage intervals, where each mileage will have a variety of services that you'll need to have performed. These services should be repeated every time you add that mileage onto your vehicle. Now you're ready to learn about the different services that can keep your Ford Escape in the best shape possible.
Ford Escape Maintenance Schedule
- 10,000 miles: Once you've hit 10,000 miles, there are a few services that you'll need to have performed, as well as every 10,000 miles from here on out. At 10,000 miles, you'll need to have your oil and oil filter replaced, and your tires rotated. During this visit, you'll also need to have your cooling system, exhaust system, and brake system (including pads, shoes, rotors, lines, and hoses) all inspected. Your steering linkage, ball joints, and drive shafts should also be inspected, as well as lubricated.
20,000 miles: On top of all the services that are listed above, you'll need to add a cabin air filter replacement.
- 30,000 miles: Add an engine air filter replacement to your services at this mileage.
- 100,000 miles: This interval adds a bunch of new services and inspections to the list. At this point, you'll need to have your orange coolant changed out, as well as replace your platinum spark plugs. You'll also need to have your accessory drive belts inspected thoroughly from here on out.
- 150,000 miles: Finally, at this service interval, you'll need to have a lot done. On top of the above routine services, you'll need to replace your timing belt and your accessory drive belts. At this point, you'll also need to have your automatic transmission fluid replaced.
