Of course, the most eye-popping numbers for the Ford Fusion occur with the hybrid 4-cylinder engine. Driving the hybrid produces an EPA-estimated 43 MPG in the city, 41 MPG on the highway (less because you're using more gas than electric while on the highway), and an overall combined 42 MPG.
