There are quite a few powertrain options available for the 2020 Fusion. The standard engine is a 2.5-liter inline-4 that creates 173 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. The SE and SEL models are powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-4 that produces 181 horsepower and 185 pound-feet of torque. The final trim in the lineup, the Titanium, is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 that generates 245 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. This engine can be outfitted with available all-wheel-drive. The hybrid Fusion model is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-4 that works with a permanent magnet AC synchronous motor for a total output of 188 horsepower and a gasoline engine only output of 129 pound-feet of torque. The plug-in hybrid Fusion model is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-4 and permanent magnet AC synchronous motor that creates 195 horsepower and a gasoline engine only 129 pound-feet of torque.

What are the standard safety features for the Fusion?

Safety is a very important part of Ford's production of the Fusion. This sedan is outfitted with standard safety equipment which is known as Co-Pilot360 which encompasses lane-keeping assist, rear cross-traffic alert, a rearview camera, auto high-beam headlamps, pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, and forward collision mitigation. A more advanced version of this suite is available, called Co-Pilot360 Assist. Other standard features include the LATCH system for child safety seats, an individual tire pressure monitoring system, AdvacnedTrac with Electronic Stability Control, child safety rear door locks, and a suite of airbags installed throughout the cabin.
